I'm the original owner of my 2003 dodge ram 1500 and is has always been well maintained. The master cylinder is original and I am late on flushing the brake fluid (it has been done 3 times thus far). My question is can the reservoir be removed so I can clean the inside. If so, how can this be performed? The Torx faster has been removed. I have attached some pictures to this post. Thank you in advance for your help.

I’ve never done one on our Rams but I do know it was common practice when I worked with a police force in Uk( as a mechanic) to change out ALL SEALS on the braking system on Jaguar and Range/land rovers we had at a major interval I can’t remember. There are seals in the push connections in that master cylinder. It pulls out, but whether you can get new for your truck, I wouldn’t know. I wouldn’t pull it out and reuse the old ones after that long a time in place. All just my opinion, of course.
Fact is, everything made of two parts comes apart but can you get the seals to reassemble?

Thank you for the reply. I managed to free the reservoir from the valve body successfully. I did not damage the rubber grommets in the valve body and cleaned them up a bit. I cleaned up the reservoir and reassembled. I proceeded to perform a brake fluid and all is good now.
