So it froze up pretty solid here last weekend, and on Tuesday when I went to put my window down to get my coffee I heard a pop and then my window didn't finish going down even though I heard to motor running in the door. Now when I run my window all the way up it stops at the top and lowers itself down as if there's something stuck in the window like fingers, etc. Also I can lower my window and it'll go down a couple of inches, but if I continue to run it down I hear the motor but it won't go down. I can then gently push on the window and it'll drop easily. I can still easily open and close the windows but I have to stop the window just at it's apex or it'll run itself down.

My best guess is that the glass of the window has disconnected from the window mechanism (I don't know what to call it). What are the chances that the window is broken (I can see no breaks when it's closed)? How do I get the window seated back in the mechanism again?

That happened to me on my 2011. Window regulator blew up. They aren't your old fashioned regulator, they are a whole panel with the regulator and motor attached. Think of it as an inner door panel. Picked up one from Amazon, with the motor, for $120 or so. Dealer was over $400 and there was only 1 dealer in the nation that had one.

watch this video, it shows everything that you need to know

Something that he should have mentioned,
When you remove the 6 screws that hold the panel in place, there is a little black rubber ? washer that will fall off in some cases. You need those washers, so do not remove those 6 screws over something like Grass or Gravel

Try a recalibration of the window first. Wouldn't it be a kick in the head if the BCM or Door module sensed the strain and the overload cause a loss of calibration? I actually suspect breakage, but, hey, it's worth a shot!
