Hi guys hope you're all good! I have a 04 ram 1500 with the 4.7 in it. At steady low throttle any speed it bucks sometimes rather hard! If I give her more gas it goes away. It does it with overdrive on or off. Seems like it should have a little more umf to it as well. Any ideas? Some online stuff said a tranny pressure valve a tps who knows. Any one heard of this? Thanx.

The valve body in those transmissions are known for gunking up. Go to your local transmission supply store and ask for a bottle of cleaning Teflon fluid (they'll know what I'm talking about). Pour that in your Trans and you'll notice a huge difference in about 50 miles.

Thanx I'll try the tranny stuff next. I did the tps no difference. Waste of $35. I noticed a slight low backfire under hard acceleration and lack of power too. Might do a tuneup as well.

A good Tuneup always helps, but have you scanned for codes? No point in wasting money throwing parts at it. Scanning for codes should at least point you in the right direction of the actual problem.

Although yours is probably stock, your symptoms sound like cam surge, which really, is just poor control over the AFR. A tune up will probably do wonders for it.
