With this 2021 2500, protecting it from rock chips is a never ending battle. The paint is soft a marks easily from rocks, and the power broads have one major drawback compared to the full body length and cab length boards I have on my 1996. The power boards do not protect the rocker panels from rocks that are thrown off the front tires and aren't caught by the mud flaps.
I tired 3M film as protection, it does help, but it still is not tough enough to tolerate a steady diet of gravel roads. The runing boards I put on the box have helped a lot to curt down rocks being thrown forward by the rear tires.
I was wondering if anyone has tried the two products above.
The boards on my 1996 for comparison. They did a tremendous job of stopping rocks and debris from being thrown up onto the truck's paint.
