I had been looking at 4th gen 1500 QC's as I really wanted a Rambox. However, for the price/condition/miles, I think I'm going with this:

I sincerely think this is the lowest mileage one in the country as I've spent WAAAY too much time on the web searching. I know I'm happier with an 8' bed and I'll have towing ability past anything I'll ever need. One question, though: Will this be much worse on gas mileage than a 1500? Thanks!

A Gen 3 2500 will be worse on fuel mileage than a Gen 4 1500 (similar trucks anywho).
I'd guess a Gen 3 Hemi will be in the low teens. 12-13 range.

Looks like a nice truck. Mileage is ridiculous, almost unbelievable. Gas mileage will be slightly less than a 1500 I would think because the truck will be a little heavier. I don't think the 2500's came with the MDS version Hemi, but I'm not positive. Two wheel drive will help, though. Let us know if you get it.

One more ?: Am I restricted to the OEM helical LS/zillion dollar air locker or are there other choices for the 10.5 axle?

Look around and you may find a couple other lockers. CHeck out some of the 4wd sites, they will have the most choices.
