between the fuse (or power source and the lights. Likely run up the A-pillar and between the headliner and cab roof. Pull the A-pillar cover off and if you see the wires, it may actually give you a good place to start tracing from.

i didnt pull the a pillar off but i think i found it in the engine bay also under the dash there is a black wire that was cut put it back together and nothing so i have no idea what it goes to. took one of the lights off and one wire was cut, if that wire was cut would it cause the rest to not work? or is it not that kind of circuit?

I'm pretty they're wired in parallel, but you're right, if one goes out, they all go out when wired in series.

If you look on the right side of the truck, there is a wiring harness already there for cab lights under pillar, start there if you want
