The Vararam makes a few extra hp, but sounds stock. The S&B has an enclosed airbox to offer a little better protection for the filter if used off-road, and is going to give it a little louder growl unde acceleration. If you were racing the truck, I would say go with Vararam, but if you are going to see much off-road use and prefer the more aggressive intake sound, then I would go with S&B.
