So what tire combo are you guys running at the track? Street tires? Drag radials? Slicks?

Personally I am looking at some slightly used Hoosier slicks on 17's right now.

From the little I looked. There isn't much available. Most tires for 17" are less than 26" tall. This is not all bad for gearing on my truck, but I would perfer a tire closer to my street tire size.

Your not going to find it though, My street tire size is 31.25" tall and the the slick I am looking at is 28" tall. The nitto 555dr comes close to a 29" tall tire on a 20" rim but I have yet to find something that is as tall as my street tire.

The 28" hoosier slicks are probably the best you are going to find on a 17" rim. The only way to get taller slicks is on 15", but we cannot fit them because of the brakes.

Nitto Terra Grapplers on 20 rims lol, I have tried 17 rims that were right at 29 30 on tire height and ran slower because I had to come out of second earlier.

Right now I am running a 305/50/20. I got a set of hoosier slicks lined up in a 28"x10" r17 (so roughly 2" thinner and 3" shorter) but I have seen them hold a truck that was putting down way more than what mine has in it right now just fine

Once it cools down and I get to the track I'll get a few videos up of a few of the runs.

To keep it as a street trim vehicle i may have to resort to either running 325/45/17 m&h's or run 18's in the rear with 305/45/18 NT55R's. This will be full time on the street and track.

I am leaning towards the Nittos since they will provide more puncture resistance than the m&h's

Downfall is that i am not able to find a matching rim in 18x9 since they were discontinued years ago. So either get new rims for the Nittos or run m&h with what i have now.

Might have the wrong guy but looking at "The Satin Goose" I thought you were the guy who had a head issue doing the cam swap from a Spartan to the KRC210x.

Finallly getting that 273 in there Daniel? If you are doing the swap over at Mikes let me know, I wouldn't mind coming over and lending a hand and see that truck of yours up close.
