The red ram with the SRT max was base tune on stock heads open exhaust. He totaled the truck trying to race it about 2 and a half years ago. Drinking then street racing ends up with your ride around a tree. Figure on dropping 3k into your project to get anything out of a big cam for all the supporting mods and tune and cam price with install and fluids.

Here is the memorial for that truck, at 1:49 you will see the aftermath..... the kid blamed the tires....

If you want sound only then go with the 268, crane 216 or srt max and have the rpm dropped to 500 in drive then you have all the sound you want. run like a POS and worse than stock but you will get your sound.

Good Luck.

650 I think is its lowest for the 268. Mines at 750 with a good lope to it

At 650 P/N on my setup I will get a P0300 code once every three months, D/R is 750 with no issues.

I wonder how it would sound with the rest of the exhaust. And that is a nice lope but more mods than your wanting to do.

That truck lost alot of power after adding a full exhaust, so I drove it like that almost all the time.

What full exhaust did you put on with the 216?

Swype-n from my Galaxy Note

My truck ran much better with the open Y-pipe vs having a Magnaflow high flow cat backed up by a 14" Magnaflow muffler. Then just had it turned down behind the muffler. Sounded very clean with the cat and muffler on there, but that setup couldnt compete on the track.
