Hello
I was set to install my 5 " oval running boards
On my '16 ram 1500 crew cab
When on driver side right where I need to hang my step bracket is a cross bracket from side panel to frame
On passenger side this bracket is not there

Can I remove this bracket ?
What's it's use
Why is there not one on other side of the truck

How else can I possibly hang my chrome bars

Yes It's a bracket that holds a 2 wire harnesses. If you're talking about the bracket up front that blocks the rivnuts. Pic would be helpful lol

I've done a few installs on these, but only 2500s never needed steps on a 1500... so not sure what is different, but never seen this bracket.

This bracket? I did. It seems to be an over engineered wire harness holder. It doesn't block the rivnuts but it does usually block part of the mounting tab of sorts. I took it off and the whole truck almost folded in half. But I said screw it. Haha

I also have a 16 crew cab. And those boards are for a mega cab.

Great thanks develand

Yes that's the one

I can't seem to upload pics

I didn't think it would be an issue as there is not one on the other side

I have installed these on a couple of trucks. They actually attached to the body, not the frame.
