Can I upgrade 5’ to 8.4’ uconnect

"I want to upgrade the radio in my 2016 Dodge Ram SLT from a 5-inch with 7speed to an 8.4-inch screen, which I took from a 2017 Dodge Ram Longhorn. My question is, can I use the harness from the Longhorn's 7-speed fan controller for AC or can I use the existing harness?

You need a conversion harness and a new HVAC module at minimum. If you're looking to buy a harness to convert, forum member @Mpgrimm2 can sell you one and tell you exactly what you'll need to convert your truck.

Neither will work. @SitKneelBend is correct on what you will need at a minimum. What else you need will depend on your additional details about your truck and any additional parts your have.

Now I already got the HVAC control module from the same car and dismantled the harness, does that work?

I had dismantled the HVAC Module with harness from the donated vehicle, waiting to arrives then I’ll try to install it.
Will it work for me? Or I need more materials?
