Carb Identification

I have a 1991 d150 with a 318 that’s been sitting for a while and I want to refresh everything including rebuilding the carb but cannot figure out what model this is so I can’t buy the proper kit. Any help would be very useful thank you.

If there is no tag under one of the screws on the top, there should be some numbers stamped in to a spot on the sid or back. You will need to take it off for a close inspection. The last time I worked on one of those was in 1979 so memory is bit foggy.

Clean it off. The make, model etc is stamped right on it. It should be a 2 barrel carter carb. Most of those were a manual choke. Clean it up, take the bowl off carefully so you dont mess the gaskets and clean the jets and passages and it will probably work perfect.

It looks like a Carter. Numbers might be stamped on the main body or on a tag.

If I remember right basically any Carter BBD rebuild kit should work
