Not sure what you mean? I have 4 carplay2air units and they’ve worked perfectly to make my non-wireless pioneer NEX units wireless. They’re also advertised to work with OEM CarPlay stereos. They operate via WiFi though not Bluetooth.

Perhaps I misunderstood, I was referring to these types of gadgets. I picked this one as an example at random off Amazon. The wired connection gets old.

Gotchya. What radio will you be using it with? I purchased the carplay2air ones, despite their high price, because of the positive review and user reviews on carplaylife.com AND because it works with both OEM and aftermarket HUs. They also have updated the firmware a couple times so the support has been good, too. Lots of users on YouTube also.

All four of my units have worked flawlessly. The only hiccup is, since it’s a WiFi connection, if your home WiFi is strong sometimes your phone will not connect to the dongle until you’ve backed out your driveway. Not a major annoyance though.

Quick search shows reviewers said it worked for them

I’ve been thinking about one of them too; not totally necessarily for the wireless CarPlay connectivity, but for the sole purpose of being able to use the 18w charger that came with my new iPhone 11 Max Pro to charge my phone. Even having my old iPhone 8+ plugged into the USB port under the console lid, the built in charger didn’t seem to be quite as powerful to charge that phone’s battery and since my new phone has an even more extensive and larger battery than that, I’d much rather use the charger that came with my phone and also take advantage of the built-in DC to AC inverter on the dash.
