Just to start, not bashing carven at all.... they have been very responsive and lived up to the lifetime warranty they market.
Back story... leased a new 2018 ram Laramie and immediately needed 5”
Tips bc I had a catback and 5” tips on my 14 express I returned. Got the carven 5” single wall SS slanted tips and they bolted on. Fast forward a year or so and the tips began to rust (shouldn’t be happening on 304SS tips) so reached out, sent a few pics and within a few days new tips shipped and they requested the return of the old tips. Apparently they had a bad batch of tips something with the stainless or weld causing corrosion. Fast forward another 2 years and the new tips look worse than the old tips, same rusting most around the welds. I live in the rust belt and get lots of salt on the roads in NJ/CT. So recently I reached out again and sent new picks of these tips and within a day or so they shipped out new tips. These new tips are double walled slant which is what I originally wanted but they never offered them. The new tips are much nicer and I prefer the dual walled tips. Not sure what’s going on with the 304 SS they are using or using to weld (should be 308) which shouldn’t rust this easily.
Either way... shout out to Carven for standing by the warranty 2 times in 40 months. I hope these tips last longer but seems like they would be losing money to keep replacing tips plus shipping etc.
