I was wondering with these newer 5.7 Hemi's if you can run catback true duals with no issues. I ran it on my 05' Ford for 13 years with no engine issues.

I just don't know if I will lose to much back pressure on these Hemi engines and hurt it.

My current setup is Carven Competitor series muffler replacement with no resonators.

It would be about the same as your carven. That’s a straight through muffler. I had a progressive and switched to a borla catback. Noticed a little more low end torque back compared to the carven i had. I’m running 35s so I noticed it due to my truck shifting less and all I did was the exhaust. If you get a tune generally you can get most of the low end back.

Running a true dual on the 5.7 is not an issue, but we would recommend running an X or H intersection for the sound & power benefits they offer.

Remember-backpressure is not what matters, its the velocity of the exhaust gasses. Exhaust that is too large in diameter allows the exhaust gasses to expand and cool down. Cooler temp gasses lose velocity and result in a less efficient exhaust system, which is when the loss of power is experienced. For a stock truck with bolt-ons, a dual 2.5" diameter exhaust would be plenty!
