Was 3/4 full after 10,000 miles. Emptied it for the first time a couple days ago...

Can't imagine if that gunk was getting into the intake and throttle body...

I got one coming from Moe's soon. It's amazing the amount of oil that is in that can!

ETA: Pictures of your Catch can, not of the beer drinking. :)

What? Screw the catch can - some of the best pics and stories start with "Hold my beer and watch this...."

Can someone explain what this is?
Is it something to do with crankcase venralation?
Would a 2014 1500 have one?

Thanks, Dan

Your truck won't have a catch can from the factory. It's simply an accessory that is patched into the PCV line to catch any oil that is pulled out of the crankcase through the PCV valve and keeps it from being sucked into the intake, where it builds up.

Some people consider them optional... some swear they're necessary. You'll see the debate flare up from time to time...lol

A simple search on the forum will give you more information than you can imagine on where to find them and how to install.
