I'll say- catch can enthusiasts will say: yes.
Catch can sales persons will say yes
And catch can manufacturers will say: yes
99% of all motorists willl say: what is a catch can?
Pick your poison.
Well said Sir !

I see you have over 300 posts on the forum. I cant believe you haven't seen the many, many CC posts over the time since you have joined. Do you have all your savings in popcorn stocks in the stock market and just trying to manipulate things to your favor? :argue:

Since my 2004 throttle body was gummed up with junk, I didn't want that to happen on my 2014. So I got one.

Is this the weekly new catch can thread :)

Dunno about longevity or if you will keep the truck long enough to matter, but it can sometimes add 2 HP and improves mpg by a few tenths as the computer doesn't have to adjust the fuel mix and timing to compensate for the extra components in the intake.

On the flip side of things, could the extra oil in the incoming air help lubricate the engine?

I'm still debating it for me. Recently did my first tuneup on my truck and when I did some cleanup of my throttle body, it wasn't clean...so I wiped it down.

My truck is running like a champ with proper maintenance, and some tlc when it comes to the service manual and type of oil used. No issues after 4 years and no catch can. But I can see the benefits of using one after cleaning my throttle body. 30k miles and no issues whatsoever

However, when I decide to get my charger scat pack in a couple of years, I will order one, day one.

Truck name: Rampage

Definitely check out those photos like R.L.K. posted the link to, that's whats convinced me to get one. Its one of the top things on my list for my truck that Ive been needing to buy.

On another note Rzrman328, the front of your truck looks sick!

I've had a 2008 up to 60K, and a 2010 ran up to 125K. My 2014 just hit 60K. I have not had a catch can on any of them....I can see the good it would do, but so far, I haven't had any issues.

It's oil spray, what would be burned otherwise. That's part of where your oil disappear what you have to fill up from time to time.
And part of it condenses in the intake over time.
Does it hurt? Who knows.
