Cel egr

My CEL came on the other day,i went to vatozone and they told me it is the EGR causeing it to come on. I don't need an EGR and was wondering if anyone makes something you plug into the connector in place of the EGR,to stop the CEL from coming on? They make these for the 5.0 stangs,and this is what im looking for for my truck..Ford Mustang 1987 1995 5 0 EGR Delete 87 95 | eBay

Haven't heard of anything you plug in to shut off the CEL, but they can be turned off via the diablo predator I believe.

You can do it on the InTune as well, but I'm 99% certain it can only be done through a custom tune. Had mine turned off via custom tune.

The plug is just to plug the hole, it still needs to be tuned out in a custom tune.

Ok I usually have all mine tuned out also in the tunes on my stangs.

Not the link I posted,you plug it in and it reads close loop so it THINKS all is good and no more CEL light,no EGR. Unless these vehicle's are different.

if you link does not work then a custom tune will disable the sensor. blocked mine off and disabled via custom tune and been cel free for 3 years and still pass emissions.

Just clear the code and keep driving. Most likely it will go away and stay away. If not, an new EGR valve is $30 and it takes 5 min to install.
