Center Radio Bezel, Are Side Pieces Removable?

Are the side pieces of the center bezel removable?

I drew arrows to where I'm talking about. The silver parts.


They look like they can be separated from the black center but I'm not sure.

Anyone have any experience taking this apart?

I took mine apart. Mine is a 2014. Idk if they changed the way it goes together or not, but there were tabs that were plastic welded through the back side. I unwelded them. Depending on how they come through, you could cut the sides off the weld and pull them out or unweld them. Drill out the tabs. A plastic welder is cheap.
