Ceramics Really Ceramic?

Im confused ( its the drugs). Why are these compounds called ceramic, since a ceramic is any of the various hard, brittle, heat-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials made by shaping and then firing a nonmetallic mineral, such as clay, at a high temperature. Common examples are earthenware, porcelain, and brick.

Because ceramics are also crystalline and in the case of this type of ceramic it is amorphous which means it is a glass ....

Pottery ceramic is not the same as an silicon based ceramic coating. I'd suggest reading up on Si based ceramic coatings to learn what they are. I am definitely not qualified to talk about the difference LOL.

I’m pretty sure marketing has pulled back with the be all end all scratch proof Armor they were pushing years ago. It’s definitely worthwhile If you put all the preparations in place
