Change function of wheel buttons?

So on the back left side of the steering wheel in my '18 1500, there's 3 buttons. An up-down rocker with an additional button in the middle.

For the radio, the up-down rocker scans (or maybe it's "seeks") up or down the channels for the next strongest one while the middle button changes to the next preset station.

This seems backwards to me. I'd like to be able to change (up and down) through my presets and use the middle button to scan/seek.

Can you change this or is this hardwired and just the way it is?

It's hard wired.

Or, more accurately, it's programed into the radio software with no way for the user to change it.
