How do you change the odometer after you have changed the rear end ratio? Does the engine need to be re-tuned for the different gear ratio?

Does the fuel economy change much when changing gears? I get 17 mpg now in town.

Is there an inexpensive lowering kit for the rear end, I would like to have that done at the same time the gears are changed.

Thanks,

Terry

Do not need to, the speedo is based on the ABS wheel speed sensors. Only time you need to change speedo is when you change tire diameter, and thats relatively easy.

I've changed mine from 3.21 to 3.92 and had no ill effects on anything other than slightly lower fuel economy. I would like to change the ratio in the BCM but currently AlphaOBD does not allow modification and the dealer cannot assist. Just change them out and enjoy the torque on the bottom end!
