Ya'll a stick of dynamite maybe easier. This is a 96 ram 1500 4x4 5.9L. We have been fighting a charging issue for months. We took off alternator had tested and it was good. Put back on and charges at 14 for a week or 2 then drops to 9. Battery goes dead. Pull alternator have tested again test good again. Replace battery, and cable ends, checked for broken wires and put alternator back on, charges good for a week or 2 then drops again. We have gone o er this 4 or 5 times now. Any suggestions before I drop $250 on it for new cables and an alternator. It does not have an external voltage regulator. Thanks

Check your wires coming from your pcm to the alternator. Could also try resetting your pcm this may help.
