Good afternoon. I am new to this Forum. Looking for a little understanding of an issue i can not figure out.
It all started with a Fuel cap light, replaces fuel cap then got the small Evap leak code and now i have a P307 number 7 cylinder Misfire. I am guilty of throwing parts and money at this issue. I have replaced the ignition coil, plugs and the injector. During a running diagnostic test of the injector pulse widths, I noticed the the number 7 injector would drop to zero and that's when the check engine light would flash and i would get the shuttering of the engine. It only does this when the truck is in drive or reverse and happens during acceleration. Any ideas of where i can focus my search to help resolve this? and could there be any correlation between the small evap leak that could cause just one cylinder to misfire?
thank you for any help or recommendations

I don't believe there is any correlation between the eval code and the engine issue. You are describing the symptoms of a dropped lifter and camshaft issue.

Would that issue only appear when the truck is under a load? it doesn't give me any codes when the truck is in park. It runs just fine and no issues. Its only when i accelerate with the truck in gear that i get the variance and the P0307 misfire codes.

Other folk have reported the same symptom.
