Tirerack.com seems to find the best selection/price so I will most likely go with them.

Rims:
Granite Alloy GA641
18x9 Black painted- Offset: +12mm
5x139mm

Tires:
Toyo Open Country A/T III
35X12.5R18LT
Load Range: D
Serv. Desc: 118R

mount/balance
new tpms sensors
warranty

Total: $2,402.09

How good are black pained wheels? Would I have to worry about any peeling? Are the Toyo's reasonably quiet?

It all depends on how well you take care of wheels. I would suggest ceramic coating your wheels to insure protection. I have Open Country R/T tires and they have some noise, but honestly not that bad. My Nittos were a lot louder.

Wheels and tires are like women .... No one can pick them for you ... period .... no argument ....

Of course there's no argument. My post is for checking that it sounds like a good fit technically, not a stylistic opinion. Customizing a car is new to me and I'm trying to make sure I get the right parts. Thanks for you post, anyway.

+12 offset may be tight on that upper control arm with 35s. I have -12 offset and 35s and have about 1” of a bit more clearance. Not exactly sure on my clearance since I haven’t measured it. This is the best picture I could find. Hard to tell my clearance from a picture.

Thanks crazykid.

Man yea, that looks close. Also I have a Maxtrac 4.5 lift kit that is sitting in my garage, waiting to be installed. This is what it says on their page on their kit.
  • Track width increase of 1" per side
  • MAXTRAC SUSPENSION DOES NOT ADVISE USING WHEELS WIDER THAN 9" OR WHEELS WITH LESS THAN 4.5" BACKSPACING
I'll check the backspacing on the wheels..

You need at least -12 offset to get you the backspacing to clear the knuckle.

I have -12 with 37x12.5 on my 17" wheels and there is about 3/4" between my tire and control arm. +12 will rub, 0 will rub. -12 is as close as I want to be lol... I partially want to go back to looking at wheels now to find something closer to -22 to -24 just to give a little bit of space up there.

Is your truck 2wd or 4wd?

The 18" wheels might not work

And I agree with all ....at least -12 os
