Checking signal to coil pack

Troubleshooting a miss in cyl. 3. Found and replaced a frayed wire on the coil pack connector.
Still missing.
Checked constant voltage at connector to coil pack- 14.24 VDC constant. Same as all cylinders.

my question is- how do you check the other wire in the connector?

Get a voltmeter on it, or the end of the pack

UPDATE:
Replaced OEM PCM with a used PCM from EBay. Engine is running on all 8 again. The initial wiring problem must have damaged the PCM
