I have what sounds like a chirping noise only when I accelerate on my 2015 Ram 2500 with a 5.7. I have changed the belt, tensioner, idler pulley and exhaust manifold gaskets. It sounds like it is coming from the passenger side. It won’t do it under light acceleration only when I give it a decent amount of gas. It gets faster and louder the more I press the gas and it only does it when I am moving, will not do it when I am in park or neutral.

Did you ever figure out what the problem was?

I have not figured out the problem yet. Sort of has me stumped at the moment. It gets faster the more throttle I give it

It seems to only do it while I am driving. It starts about 1/4 throttle. I’ll attempt to make a video on my way to work today

I actually had a similar sound on my previous ram (2004) and it ended up being a u-joint on its way out.

I heard people saying that's how 6sp transmission acts, especially if there's a trans tune. Possibly torque converter slips under hard acceleration. I have 2014 1500 with 65rfe and it does it at 2-3 shift (I have trans tune with locked shifts))

I have a similar problem as you that I have been trying to figure out for almost a year now. Mine sounds like a washer ratting on a bolt at times or a rattling chain. It almost sounds rotation sometimes and only does it under acceleration. Somebody told me it could be the transmission valve body. I have checked the engine pulleys and they are all good. I have a 2015 ram 1500 5.7

I just bought a used 2016 Dodge ram 2500 HD 5.7 hemi from a dealership, my truck also started making that noise when I push on the gas, the people at the dealership told me either the oil isnt thick enough or put higher octane gas in.

They lied to you just to get you to leave.

Oil isn't thick enough? FFS these things run on 5w20 from the factory... it's like water.
