Chop please

Let's try this again. Since I can't make up my mind on what I want to do with the bumpers on my truck, can someone chop some of the road rhino bumpers onto it? I'd also like to see what the 3rd gen tow mirrors would look like too

Mark you do have manual mirrors right?? If not you will have some re wiring to do.

Nope got power mirrors on mine. I've got a buddy that has a set off his '05 I can have if I want them. Just not sure if they'd look out of place on my half ton

They will bolt on but plugs are different. I was gonna do that on mine. And the connectors on the 3rd gens are diff. You would have to rewire the connectors. It could be done but may be a pain. Hell if they are free try it out.

Figured there would be more than just pulling the door panel and swapping them lol. Good thing my buddy with the mirrors is a certified electrician

There ya go. Here is my tow mirror look.

You know the bases are different from the 3rd gen to 2nd gen mirrors, you would need to switch the 05 mirrors to a 2nd gen base. At least thats what I read

And I never noticed the mirrors on yours lol. What did you have to do to get them on there?

They make 2nd gen ones. Plug and play. 98 and up got that style. I looked at the rhinos on a 2nd gen and I didnt' care for the gap. You would need to go to a 99 sport bumper to make them look right IMO

The mirrors are for a 2nd gen, just needed to buy support brackets off ebay, $28 for the pair. I found my mirrors on craigslist for $100, but they are manual. But they do make them power and heated and are plug and play.
