Hi all

I was hoping someone could help with a differential question I had. I purchased a 2005 Ram 2500 5.7 Hemi (83k miles)and I think it has the 11.5 Chrysler diff. I thought they were sold with the 10.5 and 3.73s.. are my eyes deceiving me I think that diff is an 11.5. Any help confirming this for me would be great. Need to get the truck up to see what the gearing is as well… thanks IMG_4648.jpeg

The Hemi trucks of that year all have the 10.5" rear end. 11.5s were only offered in the Cummins trucks (some were 10.5, some were 11.5 depending on SO vs HO).

Open your glovebox door. There should be an option sticker in there that tells you whether it's a 10.5 or 11.5 axle.

Nlambert182 - thank you. Will take a look in the glovebox; didnt know production codes were in there. That diff cover threw me for a loop.

It is definitely a 10.5, but not everyone can determine that by looks or a google image. Always best to refer back to the documentation with the truck.
