This has worked for me, but I don’t endorse this as safe practice. Oven cleaner and regular sponge on warm pipes. Rinse with clean water on a towel. Then polish with any polish you choose. I use mothers.
I used a wire wheel attachment onmy 1/4 impact to clean and shine my tips before I painted them. Also tried it on a piece of stock exhaust and it made it shiny
