Yes this is a very sad common problem with almost all cars/trucks. You'll see this 'sunburn' look all around.

From my understanding, it's the thin water based clear coat used by manufacturer. They are cheap with this method. Too, it's caused by partial lack of washing and waxing our trucks.

My suggestion is get it fixed right now. If not I will only get worse.

You can do this yourself, light sanding and clear spray paint... Not necessarily idea, but it works.

Obviously, the other way is to pay a painter.

Lots and lots of 4th Gen trucks have paint problems. Evidently the robots haven't learned to paint a truck properly yet.

Wait until the paint starts chipping off your aluminum hood, like on my 2013 and my buddy's 2014

Did you buy it new? It could be from sketchy body repair work.

A long-time issue. I had 1993 and a 2001, both white, that first the clear coat and then the white paint gave up came off, the white paint came off in sheets sometimes, a little exciting going down the road. I was hoping my 2019 would never have that problem, but...ah Hell, here we go again?
