I have a 2018 Ram sport CC 4X4 with 3.92 gears. Looking to improve from low 15's to the 13's if you have a combo that has gone 12.9 I will not hold it against you. Lots of ways to skin a cat, but something proven is what I am looking for. I don't want this to turn into a whos tuner is better than whos. If you would prefer to PM me that would be appreciated as well. Thank you! Let the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ spending begin. Go!

The two bolt on's that will give you the most bang for your buck are a "custom" tune and a set of long tube headers. For most of us, a supercharger or turbo charger are cost prohibitive. Other bolts on's will also add to your increase in performance, ie, Vararam CAI, larger throttle body, freer flowing exhaust system, upgraded suspension system(Core 4x4 lower control arms) a Pedal Commander for faster pedal response. These are all mods that can be done without doing any engine work such as a cam or ungraded heads. These bolt on mods should have you well on your way to the 13's and maybe quicker, depending on your driving skills.

Agree with the tune and headers best bang for your buck bolt ons. but hypothetically let's say you go ARH headers 1800 and tune 1k if you dont already have an unlocked ecm and tuner. So your 2800 minimum in for let's say 50rwhp. A torqstorm kit is 2900 throw in boost a pump, intercooler, injectors.your at about 3500. Throw that 1k In for a tune your at 4500 or 1500-1700 more than 2 bolt ons. Difference the blower will put out a proven 130rwhp on 6psi. Youd be hard pressed to hit 130rwhp gain fbo including a cam. Not to mention a vararam 300, TB 250, cam 2k, full exhaust 600 or so, and on a good day all of those will net you what 60rwhp? So your still down power and 2k more spent. If all your worried about is a 13s I would say headers tune and a stall can get you into them but past that$$$$$ and your still gonna be slower than the guy with the cheap blower. Now if I had an unlimited fund I would go na and do a high compression 448 stroker but again your over 10k in and a guy with that stock block cheap blower truck can make more power with his set up. Sorry for the rant food for that I've fought this with myself a hundred times which is why all I have is a vararam ram. Na builds are badass but the price tag isn't lol.

I don't have any experience with a Torqstorm blower set up, I was thinking more of a Whipple and their associated cost. Realistically I still believe most guys would do a lot of bolt ons before thinking about a blower but in the end we all spend our money the way we like. Most guys, when you talk about blowers shy away because they believe that a blower set up is technically and maintenance wise above their capabilities.

Like I said there are many ways to skin a cat. Of course I want to spend the least amount of money and get the most bang out of it. I have a 2006 300 Srt8 that runs low 11's if I told you I had a stock motor with long tubes, edelbrock supercharger and custom tuning with stock transmisiion etc. people would say no way you need a converter and gears and a cam and heads and on and on. The money was spent on the supercharger, granted not cheap but I wanted to go n/a on the truck if I can. Otherwise the e-force is so complete and easy to install I would go that route with long tubes. end of story. just looking for someone that has been there done that with their truck in n/a form. 13's would just make a fun truck that much more fun

Your budget is going to be the limiting factor. On the low end, intake, exhaust including long tube headers, and weight reduction.

The higher end I would start looking at a torque converter and cam, maybe gears depending on what you have.

Then there’s just going to straight to forced induction. You can always go nitrous, it’s the best bang for buck.

Weight is the biggest thing to overcome, depending on your configuration you can be knocking on 6000lbs. My truck is a crew cab, short box and it’s right around 5700lbs. Also makes 500 at the wheels but I’ve never ran it at the track so I can’t even tell you what it would do.

There are a few ways to get there. I would say long tube headers are a great item to go for either way as they will help add good power NA or FI. If you want to stay NA then intake, TB, Full exhaust, cam, tune, and a little suspension work like Core Control arms and panhard bar should get you close. Weight reduction if possible.

FI a blower will get you there. I would still add LT's and suspension to get that power down to the ground and control wheel hop.

Let us know if we can help. We offer great pricing and can offer even better package pricing. For a Supercharger check out Edelbrock. They do a GREAT job at keeping IAT's low creating steady consistent power! We offer Edelbrock as well.
