Hey guys new to the forum, just recently got this truck so I'm sure I'll be on this one a lot being I used to be very active on one of the ford ones, but anyways my problem:
On an 06 1500 3.7l 6 speed.
I have an overly obnoxious clutch pedal creaking sound that gets worse as I spray lube in it. I do know that the sound comes from the rod that goes from the master cylinder(or slave? Not to familiar with clutch stuff yet) into the back side of the clutch pedal. If I push it to the left some and move the pedal the sound goes away but the rod will pop back into place after halfway down.
So I've decided to try and take that rod out of there to lube it up, but the problem is I cannot for the freaking life of me figure out how to get that stupid white lock thing out of the pedal itself to remove the shaft, and I cannot find a video anywhere of how to do it. Am I doing something wrong ?
Any kind of help or how tos would be nice, or if anyone knows where a video of it is or has done this themselves please let me know ,this sound is driving me crazy, its so loud .
