I haven't changed anything yet but changing the plugs will never be a bad thing but i doubt you will need to unless it continously skips. The coils however, aren't really something you have to change unless one does fails. To check coils or detect a misfire you'll need a very good expensive scan tool or take it to a repair shop. I wouldn't worry about it until or if it becomes more pronounced

Is it a steady or constant misfire? Or is it something you felt once idling?

Like I said, changing spark plugs will never have a negative impact, except on your wallet. If it's intermittent then I'd wait a while and see if it gets worse which will make it a lot easier to diagnose the problem if there is one at all. If the truck runs fine and with your current mileage (65k I believe you said?) those plugs should have several thousand more miles to go. It could just be a fluke

Just having an intermittent miss, I wouldn't suspect a coil at all. As for plugs, two things. If you are in the 60k range, your gap is no doubt getting wider. Concerning coil longevity, the farther a coil has to jump a spark the more KV's it will have to produce and will have an effect on it's life. Second, on plugs, am sure that having the plug in a head for many more miles will increase the likelihood of having difficulty in removing them. I probably will change mine around the 50k mark. That said, what brand plug is being preferred for replacement? OEM or other. Not even sure what oem is. Thinking Champion???

You shouldn't need coils for a while. There pretty reliable.

I seemed to have a very very small miss at idle. Like sitting at a stop light.
I change my plugs this summer at 61K and I still feel the miss sometimes.

But my old plugs didn't look that bad and the gaps were all good. I bought the truck used with 33K so I dunno if they were changed before hand though.
I wouldn't worry about it unless it's more consistent and starts to feel really bad.

I would still change your plugs but I really think the 30K interval is almost too soon.
