Interested too, what kind of increase can one expect from a CAI? Is it really worth the investment?

Not huge ... The open ones give more noise that anything else ... Nothing close to the manufacturer claims ... Good to have with a tuner ... Rams systems actually breathe very well stock ... All I did was change to an AEM filter ... The S&B does look way cool when you open the hood tho ... My buddy has one ... It’s a very nice unit

Stock cam, stock tune, stock exhaust, you're mostly just trading money for noise. With supporting modifications to the point the factory system becomes the bottleneck, you can see noticeable gains.

The only two CAI that have had real-world increases in performances at the track are the Vararam and Moe's Custom track intake. Stand alone--not so much---in conjunction with other mods, you'll see an increase in performance.

I like how their ad copy says "This intake system moves the air filter away from the stuffy engine compartment so cooler air can be circulated into the engine for an increase in power." but when you compare this to the actual factory intake that's sealed off from the engine compartment entirely and draws air from the fender, this thing is going to be more likely to pull in engine compartment air.

This has been pretty well covered already numerous times. If you want speed, get the Vararam it's the only aftermarket intake that gives you a shorter route from outside the engine to inside it & has a big enough surface area on its mouth to pretend its going to give you ram effect. If you spend a ton of time on the dirt get the Volant Powercore intake because it uses a Donaldson filter off a mining truck that's made to continue providing good flow when loaded up with a garden worth of dust. If you want to show off, get the Mopar kit with the sport hood because it's just cool AF no further justification needed.

You can get whatever else you want, but it won't be as fast as the Vararam or as clean as the Volant or as trouble free as stock, so whatever you get is going to be not the best and you know second place is first loser :)

Don't the 1500 have a cold air intake off the fan shroud?
