new to the forum i currently have a 2011 2500 mega cab with the5.7 hemi great truck gas hog. I ordered a new 2500 slt mega cab got it last week dodge screwed the order up so bad dealership took the truck back and ordered me a new one. big horn with all the options same price, awesome. i want to add a cold air intake programmer and dual exhaust cant find a match for any. is the intake the same as a 12, is the exhaust worth the money? help

Welcome to RF, I have a 2500 with the HEMI 2012 and ordered the Vararam CAI, since S&B hasn't made theirs for the 2500 yet, may happen by summer. THere is a vendor here name Matt- Hemi450hp he owns Moe's performance and is one of the best experience wise with these trucks. IF something would work he would know. I ordered a throttle body from him and the vararam- not sure what the deal is with the exhaust. Hope this helps. Good luck Joe

S&B shows a release date in May. I also have a 2012 2500 and that's what I will be putting on. Matt with Moe's is the man to talk to, he knows his stuff. I'm also new to this site...

I also was looking at S&B, however when Matt talked to them the said May was pushed back to June, after that seems the vararam will perform better and costs the same. There is a thread that on of the guys did where he cut the rad cover to fit the scoop and it looks to fit stock, that is what sent me to vararam. Matt likes them and has them. I tihnk it gives an old classic look, mine will be in this week hopefully, I will post to show you and give you my review, since the 1500's have more input than our 2500's.

I had the vararam and the volant and both did not fit to my liking. I am not one to talk about a product and I will not here either. I am pretty particular or you can call it ****, but just did not like the fit. Matt was great about it and I sent mine back with full refund. Don't get me wrong I think it's a great product, but it did not fit my 2500 like I wanted.

Taylor what did you not like about the fit, was it how it attached to the hood or was it how it sat on top of the engine? I am curious about how it will fit against the hood since the 2500 appears to have a higher hood.

Mine didn't fit well were it went over the radiator. It rub the front of the Rad. I took pictures and sent them to the Engineers at Vararam. They were great! If you bought it from Matt I am sure everything is good. They were willing to send me different lengths of tub that connects the CAI to the throttle body, but I just didn't think that would fix it, so they said send it back.
