Im thinking about getting a cold air intake but idk which would be the best for my truck and the best for the money. Im not looking for the top of the line but just something to give it a little something extra. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

They aren't worth the money. Your best option is to get a new drop-in filter for the factory set-up.

How? Im not disagreeing with you im just curious. I mostly want it to just run smoother and flow better. If any HP is added that would just be a bonus.

What Bartow said is true. Very, very few CAIs will produce any noticeable gains at all. Getting a drop-in performance filter like a Spectre is far cheaper than buying a CAI. The only exception would be if you made the "Black Mamba" homebrew CAI that's in the DIY section on this forum, granted, you'd still have to make a scoop and heatshield for it.

Still not a CAI, but it does make a nice sound though. :D

Vararam has dyno proof their Air Grabber adds 16RWHP to the 14 Rams. A buddy of mine was at the dyno pull. And that was just sitting still. I am sure it is more when the truck is moving as it is like a Ram air type intake.
I had an S&B on my 09 and together with Superchips, Ported Throttle Body and a Magnaflow dropped my 0-60 from over 8 secs to 6 sec. Not sure how much the intake added to it but i am sure if paired with the right mods the right CAI will add power.

You're also talking about a new Hemi, the 360s are very much different and don't require as much air.

When I bought my truck it already had a K&N CAI. I plan to switch to the Mopar 14x3 when I finally do my plenum.

haha, no cat means you can run a blown plenum longer.
You likely won't see anything but noise, maybe a half an MPG if you keep your foot out of it because the air is hotter.
This is true. Didn't realize he had a 2nd gen.
lol This IS the 2nd gen section, you know. ;)

Pfft, its all for looks man and paired with the Mopar valve covers.
Well, if that's the case....
Just make sure you get a Spectre/KN filter for it so it flows well.
Lol...didn't realize. Just saw the post in the new post section. I should really look at what section these posts are being put in. Lol.

I've been looking at possible getting a spectre CAI just because they sound cool when you give it gas and look good in the engine bay lol, as far as doing anything beneficial like dodgedude said you MIGHT get a 1/2 mile per gallon

I just ran the figures for the 14x3 cleaner swap and its much cheaper than I thought. $80 for the Mopar assembly, $20 for a Spectre filter, and $10 for a VC breather. I already have a spacer. Can't wait.

Gonna look great. Just make sure you clean everything so it doesn't make the rest of your engine bay look like crap. :Moon:
