i know I saw a thread on here but for the life of me I can’t find it.
Can anyone give me some details on converting from column to console shift?
I have a 2018 2500 is this electronic or is it a cable conversion?
Does anyone have part number for the column delete collar below the wheel?

I pasted below a link to a thread on another forum that will answer most if not all your questions. It is unfortunately a little long. Pay close attention to the later half of the thread because it explains some of the changes made to the top part of the center console which now have a "rounded' edge as opposed to a square opening. You will understand once you read through the thread.

From your info in your signature I see you have a 6.4 hemi, I do not recall off hand if someone in the thread I linked did this with the 6.4. I bring that up because the 6.4 uses the 66RFE while the Cummins in the 2500 uses the 68RFE and this may have differences in doing this.

The actual mod is not hard to do, about 1-2 hours work and uses all factory parts. I did this to my 2017 2500 Cummins with the 68RFE.

I appreciate that but that thread has become so big that I can’t find any of the information I am looking for. Also is it the same for my 2018 as it is in the article for a 2010? I also as you stated have the 66rfe.

The thread is not just about installing in a 2010. In the thread there are numerous installs in 2015-2018 Rams. Like I mentioned in my post above, I did this to my 2017 which is for all intents and purposes identical to your 2018.

Just what questions/information are you looking answers for?

Mainly the shifter connection to the trans. Being a gasser with 66rfe, is the new cable the same part as the 68rfe? Also looking for the part number for a black upper and lower steering cover for the column shift delete. Also not sure of wiring, plug and play? Do I need a jumper harness etc.
The other post has tons of good info it’s just terribly long and people go off topic a lot so it’s hard to sift through lol.

The cable should be the same. As well as the brackets that are needed. A note about the brackets that are on the side of the transmission.....they at first glace appear to be identical to what is already on your transmission and some did not get them. Wrong move. There are slight differences between the brackets needed for the console shift and if you do not replace it will cause problems in getting the shifter to move through PRNDL and show properly on the console indicator plate (where you see the PRNDL).

I hate to say this, but if you want to really do this you are going to have to wade through the thread, many of your questions can be easily answered by it. I feel your pain, just how do you think I was able to do this? Not only that, if you try to do it without reading the thread in some fashion there is a good chance you will run into trouble.

As an incentive to start you down the right path I pasted below most of the part numbers I used, you will find the the steering column cover, the jumper wire, and the cable number below.........

Thank you for all the help. I have a used center console complete with the shifter and brackets so I think I just need the column cover, jumper wire and the cable and bracket assemblies.
