We just got dumped on down here in the Midwest states as well. I'm sure you got more, but it was a good amount for us compared to recent years. 17 inches was the highest I've heard yet, just south of us a few miles.

After the last couple of very mild winters, we're due.

If I drive 20 miles south, there is 5" of snow - if I drive 50 miles north there is 4" of snow. Same goes for east and west of me with varying amounts of snow. But we got NOTHING in my county, not even rain, from the system that just rolled through here at the end of this week...

Sounds almost dreary haha. If I go 50 miles north they've gotten 2' each of the last two days plus the 6' that are already there haha.

We got 10" here in mid Michigan and 16" about 30 minutes south. Use to love winter and but the older I get the less I like it.

I'm hoping for a mild winter - with a 100 mile round trip commute into the cities every day, the closer I get to work, the amount of stupid drivers rises and the risk of me getting hit by someone incompetent increases exponentially. And many of them are uninsured/under-insured...

Im hoping we get SOMETHING this year for snow. Sad when you live in Alberta and don't even get snow anymore.

Yeah our winters have been super mild here the last five years. Depressing. When I was a kid we had to wear snow gear under our costumes for Halloween. Now my kid can wear an appropriately sized costume and tennis shoes cause there's no snow until maybe Thanksgiving. So far this is the best year we've had in quite some time.
