I may get some hate for this, but for me the seats in my 2014 Ram are a back killer for anything more than an hour drive.
It is a black edition with buckets and jump seat console single cab cloth seats. I have to say this is the one thing I hate about the truck.
I just got back from a trip to Carlisle swap meet and I was sore before I even started walking.

Are the seats out of a sport or one of the others more comfortable?

Anybody upgrade to a better seat?

I love my sport seats. Broke my back in three spots when I was 21 and can't stand a rock hard seat. The sport seats don't seem to Bother me.

I like my sport seats and think they're very comfortable. The picture was taken just after I purchased it and then drove 11 hours home.

There are more than a few individuals on the forums that have swapped out their seats for sport seats and a center console. Hopefully more people will chime in on your post.

So dumb question the sport seats are power? Do all the ram power seats come with lumbar? My truck looks on the outside like Rav3ncroft but mine is not a sport just has the black edition option think that was badge delete and projector headlights led tails body color bumpers. Oh when I bought it new never understood those options with a CD player.

I had to go out and look at my seats because I don't see a huge difference other than the power and the leather.

One more question do the still tilt forward to get stuff from behind?

The higher end seats have more options (memory etc..) but the sport seats in mine are power and have lumbar as you can see. Mine are heated but not cooled and you can tilt them forward.

It sounds like your truck may be an express with the black out package. Mine is a Night Edition sport BTW.

My 2014 had the hardest leather seats I ever experienced. Major ass pain after two hours. Not just me but the wife on the passenger side. My 2021 has much more plush leather.

Maybe time to trade this one in. The price of used seats on ebay is insane $1k-5k. Just think it will be hard to find a single cab hemi short bed now.

This one gets you right in the thigh or ass, I do same trip in my Mustang way stiffer suspension and low profile tires and could go twice as long.

If you don't mind looking like a Pakistani cab driver, you could try adding seat beads. And while some may dismiss this, what really helped my back was yoga with a few core exercises and morning walks. There are a lot of muscles that are rarely used, and strengthening them can allow the muscles to take a load off the spine and help posture.

They are out there but can be hard to find. I used the CarGurus app and checked all the time. The price is about 12K higher than the same truck I purchased 1 year ago. Amazing how the prices keep going up. Sell your truck outright and you could be in business.

I drove 11 hours to get the truck I have now. The truck listed above is more money like I said but Carvana may deliver for free. [emoji16][emoji106]

Definitely a less expensive option compared to purchasing a new truck. You can also purchase replacement foam for the seat bottoms that could help.

I paid 28K for this truck and it had 24K miles (2 years old). It was a great deal and the same as yours;5.7 8 speed 4x4. I typically drive a truck for 10 years and start looking for another.

The whole is thing is, he has a Standard Cab 2 door Ram
The 4 door seats recline back
Standard cab seats fold forward

I have not looked at a Standard cab Ram, so i don't know how many motors there is for things like lifting, sliding, tilting & Lumbar

Get some good after market racing reclinable seats, looks way better, plus more comfortable too.

In my ‘06 RCSB i replaced my manual cloth seats with some 4th gen sport heated seats from a fellow forumer. I haven’t figured out the heated seat wiring because of all the new technology stuff, but still its far one of my favorite upgrades. 10 times more comfortable

I had the same seats in my '04. They cleaned up pretty good before I sold it. However they were a bit faded.

The seats definitely weren't as comfortable as the sport seats in my RCSB.

I've read more about Seats in the last two days my head is spinning a little. I asked another guy at work with a fourth gen ram and he likes his seats but he has power, so If I'm correct power seats have the lumbar support. I have looked into aftermarket lumbar add on about $100 a seat. They use a bladder like in the 87 gt mustang seats I have in my 69. Those are some of the most comfortable seats I have. With the 13 or 14 and up they have the airbags on the 1500 so aftermarket not an option. I've read were Gen 3 people are putting in gen 4 seats much better than worn gen 3 seats. I also saw a guy put gen 5 seats in a gen four have to repin and cut and weld the gen 4 mounts on passenger. I swore I was not going to mod this truck just drive it lol. So I'm not going gen 5 even if they are more comfortable. The hot ticket seems to be the sport seats or maybe Laramie.

Anybody know are Laramie a different shape? you can buy leather covers for less than 200 a set.

Wish Carlisle wasn't so packed I may have checked out the seat guy but he seems to have mostly GM stuff. I might have to go salvage auction with my friend maybe buy a whole truck for what Ebay sellers want for seats.

I'm not sure about the Laramie seats but from what I've seen online they look like they are very similar to the Sport seats in shape. However, they seem to be all leather and the passenger seat is also power. I believe they are heated and cooled.

Hopefully someone else can offer more details. I'd check Facebook marketplace in your area as well as local salvage yards.
