Check engine light
Traction control light
Fluctuating gauge
Loss of power
Security system does not allow engine to turn over
Truck had been in an out of the shop multiple times. They have replaced 6 different computer modules an problem still exists. Chrysler will not always authorize repair... it spent month an half in shop few months after purchase....looking at lemon law as Chrysler seems set against helping... dealer did not even want to talk to me once lemon law was in the conversation.... tiered of the problems.... I have had 3 other Dodge 1500's love Dodge but this could be a breaking point.... advice please

Hi 212 Laramie,

First off you need to point out the fact that six new computers all being bad the same way makes no sense what so ever. If the computer module is not the problem then something that attaches to it and has the ability to send error codes to the cpu from all of the above is responsible. Next have you done a load test on your battery because knowing a bit about computers what you are describing sounds a lot like a power problem to me.
Hope this helps.

X2 on the battery. Make 'em put a new battery in it before you go crazy.

Not specified but related, could be a grounding issue. I've seen bad grounds make computers act crazy. Have any warranty left on it?

It's still under warranty... they have had Chrysler engineers on it ( according to dealer ) they have went through all the wiring / grounds... did find one bad ground but problem still exists. I don't think they have replaced the battery that I remember. Thanks for all the info guys....let me know if anyone has other ideas!
