Hi I have a 1994 RWD ram 1500 with 15x7 rims with a 4 inch backspace, I recently got a set of 15x8's with 3-5/8 backspace. same bolt pattern but I've seen a lot of conflicting information regarding which wheels will fit depending on the year of truck and backspacing of the rim

anyone running a similar size rim on their ram?

I also placed 1.5 inch lift pucks above the coil springs for extra clearance, just wondering if anyone else is running 15x8’s with 3-5/8 backspace.

I would hate to mount new tires on brand new rims just to find out they rub.

With the info you supplied the bead will be 1/8 in closer so if you have good clearance now you should be good
check clearance at full lock taking in mind new tire size IE if you go to a two inch taller tire you need more than an inch at full lock

You should check the lug nut holes

right around 1994, they changed the hole size from 1/2" to 3/8s"

make yourself a Template or 2

The 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd bolt pattern is 5-139.7 mm. This means there are 5 lugs and the diameter of the circle that the lugs make up measures 139.7 mm or 5.5 inches across. To get a close measurement of your 5 lug bolt pattern without a bolt pattern tool you should measure from the center of one lug to the outer edge of the lug furthest from it.

you notice, they don't tell you whether it takes 1/2" or 9/16" studs

i think i found the answer

1994-01 DODGE RAM 1/2 TON TRUCK 2 & 4WD

2000-2001 changed to a dual piston caliper that is larger and does not allow for a 15" alloy wheel. Steelies often fit fine

I have had 15x10 steelies on both my 2nd gen 4wd and they fit just fine. My 00 does have dual piston calipers and has about 3/8 of an inch clearance. I’ve never had a 2wd but I imagine they would be pretty similar. If it’s only the wheel your worried about I would pull the old wheel and tire off and slide the new wheel real quick and see what your clearance is. I would also look at potential tire rub too.
