Hey guys, I have an interesting issue and am working on how to diagnose the issue. Any help would be appreciated!
I have a 2011 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn, 4x4 , 5.7 Hemi. I just installed a new 5.7 engine due to a trashed cam and 1 lifter.
We installed an HV SRT oil pump (68195993AD) to help with low RPM lubrication. The HOT idle (600 RPM) oil pressure is 38 psi (260 kPa) and 78 psi (540 kPa) @ 2000 RPM. The oil pressure-sending unit was replaced with a new Mopar unit (5149062AB).
For some reason, I keep getting the P0524 engine code (Low Oil Pressure). We have reset the code but it keeps reappearing. No other codes appear.
I am using the AlpaOBD software to read the codes and engine performance. Based on the numbers we are getting for oil pressure, a P0524 Code does not make any sense. Has anyone run across this before? What do you guys think?

About the 23 minute mark is where he starts getting into using a set of resistors to cure the issue

The other option is to run the bypass spring from you're original pump, but now that the pump is installed, that's probably not really feasable.
