I have a 17 express quad cab with 321 gears. I’m considering trading on a new 18 big horn crew cab. Msrp is 49 and sale price is 40. I financed that amount on my express to get out from under my Jeep so that’s not an issue.
Now the question is can I swap out the ecu from my 17 since it is unlocked and I have a diablo with Greene tunes??
The color will be different so my flares will need replaced.

What are you guys thoughts?
I do NOT need to trade at all. My wife drives the truck more than me. I’m somewhat happy with my express but I want the NAV, console, power seats, quad cab, and different gears. I only have 13k miles on mine and it’s 16 months old.

That's a high price. If you sign up for ram email list they will send a $500 rebate. Don't show thi until signing papers and make them add the discount. $9k discount is pretty low. Its very possible to get $14k plus currently. And you will get hosed on your trade being only 16 months.

He's an example. I bought a used 16 bighorn crew v6. With 12k miles. Truck is 2 years old. List was $41k. I walked out at $23k. $23 was low on nadaguides.com trade in value. I assume dealer actually paid $21-$22k for the trade. That is a huge depreciation lost to the first owner. He also spent money on a nice are bedcover, tinted the windows and step bars. I couldn't pass up the deal. I think I could have gotten it lower but it was in the next town and I was tired and didn't want to drive back to do the paperwork. Also $23 was exactly how much I wanted to spend on that particular truck.

That’s what I was thinking too. I figured they will try to hit me on my trade. Where are you guys finding 14k off msrp?

I have a 2016 Big Horn 5.7 quad cab and love it. I'm old and it's just the wife and
I, so I don't really need the crew cab. If I had children at home, I'd probably want the crew cab, but I don't, so I' very happy with what I have. It's everything I need and more. Whatever you do, get what you want so you'll be happy! Good Luck!

From the dealers pockets. No joke. Read my prior post I've edited it.

I have the nav in my 16 bighorn. I bought off the lot and got a great deal. I wouldn't go out of my way for the nav. Overpriced and not that great. Phone is easier.

Robocop, don't let anybody kid you, 12K off msrp is a very good deal. You would have to be in the right place, at the
right time AND have a lot of energy, patience, and luck to get the 14K deal......
