My Ram came with 20s. I replaced them with after market 20s with less chrome/shine. Still looks goofy to me. Because I tow heavy and commute a fair distance, I won't go much beyond 33" tall tires, even though 35s would likely look great. My last truck looked good with 285x70/17s. Anybody else go down in rim diameter and love it?

I should add that it's a 4x4 levelled to 2.8". I think the fenders won't look as empty if the tires are thicker...

I've always been a fan of more rubber and less wheel...
Fortunately my PW came with 17s. I'd be OK with 18s too.

I went from 20" stock sport rims to 17" methods. In my opinion ride quality is better. Technically you should get better handing with the 20s due to less/stiffer side wall but hey let's be honest these are trucks (different story if you are lowered). I run 35s.

I also went down in size from 20” sports to 18x9-0 offset and 305/65/18 Toyo OC AT. Truck is leveled w/RC strut kit ~2”. I personally like more sidewall myself as well. I think it rides almost as good as stock… minimal road noise. I tow some but not very heavy

I'll be going from 20" to 17" or 18" when I have the money. Size and Load rating will effect the ride quality.

I've been running 285/70R17 on my '15 for years.

So far the only problem I've encountered is people on the internet telling me it "needs" 35's .. amazing how powerful the instinct of vanity is in some men :artist1:

Ignoring uh "body image" opinions the function has been without complaint.

I have the stock 17's in silver needing a home. They currently have stock sized generals on them.

I have switched from stock 20" fake chrome wheels to black ProComp wheels and 285/70/17. Much better IMO.

If I used this truck more I would go to 17s as I did with the last 4 Rams. I prefer more side walls on a 4x4 truck

Any issues or complaints with the procomp wheels? Did they balance well for you?
