I've had some cooling system issues over the last couple of months. The water pump failed and I had that replaced (system flush, thermostat, etc...). Then the radiator sprung a leak and I replaced that. Now I have coolant leaking from a tube coming from the cab back into the engine compartment!

I assume it is coming from the heater coil? I can't see or smell any fluid in the cab...

Any thoughts???

Yeah that is just the condensation release for the ac system. It's supposed to do that...

I promise, its coolant. Its a steady drip that increases when the motor is running that has drained the reservoir at the top of the radiator and left a big puddle in the driveway.

Did you smell the fluid in your driveway?

Yes, and there is enough on the ground that I can see/feel what the fluid is.

I don't know what the system under the dash looks like, could the heater coil leak and drain into that outlet????

If your heater core is leaking it sure will leak out of the AC condensate tube. You need a new heater core.

That's what I was afraid of. Had to replace the heater core of an old Toyota many years ago. I started removing things from the cab and the VERY LAST piece to come out was the heater core - what a PITA!!!! Is it any better in a Dodge????
