I have the Mopar OAT coolant in a jug and the only reference to OAT is on the back label in fine print under the description.

Solved that problem on my '03 with the hemi cple years ago. The owner's manual stated the use of Mopar HOAT coolant. When I replaced the radiator. Did complete drain and flushed with fresh deionized water then filled with 70% Prestone universal all makes all color compatible with either Dex, OAT, HOAT etc. Did same thing on my '08 2500 also with the hemi. So far, so good.

I did quite a bit of reading and came cross the Prestone website. When I use it and choose the coolant based on the vehicle make and model, I get this as the same result for both the Ram and the Durango..

Prestone - American Vehicles coolant

This looks like a decent coolant that I could use on both.. I assume that this is OAT.

10 years / 300,000 miles, eh?

Yes, it would have to be OAT. Mopar OAT is 10 years 150,000 miles.

Yes.. I assume so. But it is not Dex-Cool. They have a separate Dex-Cool variant, so I assume that this should be good for both vehicles.

Assuming that we all aren't expert and just consumers, if I were to do a proper flush of the systems for both vehicles, would HOAT or OAT be better for them in long run, provided I stick to a 5 year change cycle...?

You should use whatever was filled at the factory so you don't get chemical incompatibility in the circuit someplace.
Use what was put in factory. Not to beat a "dead" horse, but in this case, OEM all the way. I hate ads that IMHO beat their own back on their product, just my Opinion.
