After going back and forth for months on which tire to get I finally settled on the Cooper at3 XLT in 275/65r20 for my ram 1500. Seeing them on a friends truck helped solidify the decision as they don’t look too off-road aggressive like I’m trying to make the truck look something it’s not, but they have a good look that fits the “I occasionally hit some crap going hunting or fishing”. The stock Wranglers would lose tradition in any mild moisture on the road. These things stick. I didn’t slam the throttle to the floor but I couldn’t get them to spin out, which was a big change. I was worried a LT tire would be rough, and while the ride isn’t quite as soft it really is a non-issue. Id imagine this will be even less of an issue after the suspension mods later this week. Another surprise was just how quiet these tires are. I dont believe they are any louder than the Goodyears and may even be more quiet? The only downside I have noticed is their weight. With the 3.21 gears, while subtle, there is definitely a difference starting off from a stop. Nothing upping the setting on the pedal commander cant mask, but noticeable. With that weight came the loss of around 2mpg on the highway. I haven't done any extra long road trips yet but the computer was showing less overall. We shall see once I hand calculate. Finally, I am happy with how they came out on the stock 20's. I was worried it would look out of place but the tires and rims compliment each other IMO.

Looks great! Thanks for the review, I am also looking at changing things up. I'll probably go 35" but I'll definitely put these on my list.

I'm running the same tires 275/65/20. Bough them as a winter tire. Been running them for 4 months now and am very happy with them.

Don't mind the rusty lugs, just some cheap ebay one's. Going to repaint them soon
