Last set of Toyo Open Country I had didn't last full life. One tire you could see a pretty big spot in the tread where it was twisting up. Had it in shop with some sort of vibration and when they went to balance it found the issue. Another one was also found to have a balance issue as well but not with the visible item in the tread like the first. Was only 40% through the tire (at most) via tire tread gauge. I got rid of the Toyo's and swapped to BFG KO's, and have had them for many years on F250 SD I owned previously. Nice ride, quiet, highway speeds too. Good in wet, and towing also.
I've owned Toyo's before and liked them, but probably won't be buying again for a while at best with this last event. Tires for any truck are pricey, so I expect to get my money out of them. Certainly not the case on this last one.
Have Nitto's on my DD 4runner, they ride nice, no complaints.
