Looking to do a 2.5 level on my 23 limited 1500 with stock 22’s. These are my tire choices. I have owned BFG’s many times and have no complaints. I want an aggressive look but other than a few trips to the woods I am not an off road driver. I am in FL so rainy roads are an issue. Any opinions on these 3? 295’s vs 35’s? All help is appreciated.

I have nitto ridge grapplers on my 2500 right now and like them. I have had toyos before and liked them also. No complaints on either of the 2

I am currently running 35X12.5’s BFG KO’s on my 2022 power wagon and love them. Excellent wet traction, so they should work well in the Florida rain storms. I know them well as I spent over 10 years in the Tampa/St. Pete area.

I don't think I have ever bought any replacement tire that wasnt bfg on my vehicles, my wife's cars get something different. I do believe those do look a little more aggressive., especially letters out which is how I roll. Decent in rain and snow, but m y tire guy says toyo's do perform better. So after he told me that I still bought the bfg's, but I do trust his opinion. See tire poll threads for how your choice compares to the field. Research coopers issues if you are even thinking of going there. I would think those three choices will be a cant go wrong scenario.

I'm running 305/45/22 Toyo Open Country AT3's. I've had Toyo's in the past and am happy so far, hoping to run them in snow soon but overall traction and ride has been great so far. Mileage did take a hit going from stock wheels/tires to a set of Laramie wheels with bigger tires but that was expected. Honestly, they are probably all great tires and somewhat similar as to their capabilities. I went back with Toyo's because that's what I got the best deal on over Nitto's.

If you have no complaints stick with what works for you.

I use Falken Wildpeak AT3, I highly recommend them for the thread life. I just went from 35x12.5 to 37x12.5 with no rub on 3.25" carli suspension. Very quiet, look great, and they rate very well against other brands. I'd look into them.

Brother has some on his newer ram and hated them. Went into a ditch and he is the one that got me on duratracs. I’ve had no issue with the duratracs other than vibration at interstate speed that was corrected with a dealership visit.

I have been running BFG KO2s for more than a year on my 1500. I pull a 28 foot Jayco camper all the time. They are great in the rain and great traction pulling my camper uphill in gravel and dirt. If I ever wear these out, I will buy more just like them.

Last set of Toyo Open Country I had didn't last full life. One tire you could see a pretty big spot in the tread where it was twisting up. Had it in shop with some sort of vibration and when they went to balance it found the issue. Another one was also found to have a balance issue as well but not with the visible item in the tread like the first. Was only 40% through the tire (at most) via tire tread gauge. I got rid of the Toyo's and swapped to BFG KO's, and have had them for many years on F250 SD I owned previously. Nice ride, quiet, highway speeds too. Good in wet, and towing also.

I've owned Toyo's before and liked them, but probably won't be buying again for a while at best with this last event. Tires for any truck are pricey, so I expect to get my money out of them. Certainly not the case on this last one.

Have Nitto's on my DD 4runner, they ride nice, no complaints.

For you usage, the BFG All Terrain would probably be you best choice. You don’t do rocks or anything like that so they will last a long time.My personal with BFG is that they run small in their advertising and can wear quickly depending on your usage. Other than that, they are a good tire. Next choice would be the Nitto (I run them on anything I have to replace tires on). Good luck

Son had K02's on his 2018 2500 6.4 and got over 50,000 miles on them and had no complaints. I have Toyo AT3's on my 2018 2500 6.4 and after about 5000 miles no issues or complaints

Well I am 99.9% going BFG 33’s. I have weighed every option and unless I run across someone in my area with 35’s in any of the above 3 flavors my mind is pretty set. The BFG seems to be the gold standard for primarily highway driving with occasional off road use. For me that involves a few hunting trips a year on dirt roads and a few camping trips. The D range 295/50/22 BFG should give me the best of what I want in terms of ride, aggressive tread, and height/width. Getting my speedo calibrated for 35’s has me nervous. My dealer will do it for a fee but they have thus far lived up to the “stealership” nickname. Purchase experience and follow up interactions have been subpar to say the least. Tazer cannot give me a straight answer on how reliable calibration will be for a 2023. I can run the 33’s for a while and if technology improves in terms of guarantee I can go 35 if I find my setup lacking. I was almost willing to roll the dice on 35’s if Tazer could guarantee me that I could 1. clear the Parksense error code without the dealership 2. Upsize my tire in the computer to at least 33 inches without error but they have thus far not responded. My rebel kit just arrived and I am getting my retrax cover installed tomorrow. If I get a wild hair I may order the tires and setup an appointment to get everything installed.

I've been using Nittos for years in my 2500s with no complaints. Usually get around 50k out of them. Rotate them every oil change. I've had BFGs (during COVID, when I couldn't get Nittos) and didn't have any issues with them either, but prefer the Nittos.
